Earlier this year, a young woman "checked into" Facebook and put up details of the hotel she was vacationing at. Not long after that, her father received an email demanding a hefty ransom. He was told that the hotel's security feed had been hacked into and unless the ransom, running into a couple of lakhs, was paid, an "intimate video" of his daughter would be uploaded online.
