Rajinikanth, Priyanka Chopra honoured with Padma awards

Southern megastar Rajinikanth and Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra on Tuesday honoured with the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri awards respectively by President Pranab Mukherjee at a glittering ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here.The megastar enjoys a massive fan following and is lovingly called Thalaivar by his his well-wishers. The former Miss World has been a part of Hindi cinema for almost a decade and has made India proud globally with her stint in the American TV series "Quantico".

The actress, who is currently riding high on the success of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus "Bajirao Mastani", has even bagged a Hollwood film, "Baywatch", alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.
